Volunteering
I have been a volunteer in many different capacities –

with charities supporting new parents, people recovering from head injuries, and bereaved people
-
with the local wildlife trust
-
with Oxfam
-
supporting literacy and other curriculum subjects in my children’s schools and at a local further education college.
Interests

I enjoy reading a variety of literature including poetry.
​When I have time I Iike to paint and sketch; the beautiful landscapes of Shropshire where I live are perfect for this pursuit. Walking in these landscapes is another pleasure of mine, and I am an active member of the local Ramblers group.
Cooking and kitchen gardening are other hobbies. On a small scale I have kept chickens over recent years.
